How to make flower essence?
The production of floral essences is a delicate process that requires great mastery. At Tatwa, we use the traditional method of solar maceration, practiced for thousands of years by Amazonian communities. The flowers are carefully hand-picked at sunrise, then immersed in a mixture of pure spring water in order to carry out an initial extraction by exposing the mixture to the sun's rays for several hours so that the virtues of the flowers are impregnated into the solution. Then Brandy is added in order to extract the spirit of the plant. After filtration, we obtain a concentrated natural floral essence, ready to be used.

Floral waters, also called hydrosols, are known for their many soothing and regenerating properties. The terms "floral water" and "hydrosol" actually refer to the same product. A hydrosol is obtained by steam distillation of the aromatic parts of a plant: flowers, leaves, bark, etc. It is the condensed water impregnated with the natural aromatic and active principles of the plant. The term "floral water" is simply reserved for hydrosols derived specifically from flowers. Unlike highly concentrated essential oils, floral waters/hydrosols are gentler and more versatile preparations to use.
