At Tatwa, we are committed to preserving ancestral knowledge through respectful exchanges with every community we meet. In particular, our commitment to the Arhuacos of the Sierra Nevada in Colombia reflects this mission.
This is to avoid experiencing what we saw in Europe with the outright destruction of ancestral communities and their precious medicinal knowledge.
For several years, we have decided to contribute to and support the Arhuacos, the original people of the Sierra Nevada, the heart of humanity according to their worldview. The bond of respect and exchange we have with these peoples helps preserve their ancestral knowledge. Their culture and lands are threatened by reckless exploitation, and we have answered their call for help to assist them in buying back and protecting their sacred lands that belonged to them long before the formation of our modern civilizations focused on profit at the expense of life.
Tatwa donates a percentage of all its sales, whether products or training programs, to support the Arhuacos by providing them with crucial financial resources so they can reclaim the lands that belong to them and preserve their culture and knowledge.
By doing so, you participate in a cause greater than just your own well-being, through the purchase of our products and programs.
Together, we can help the Arhuacos protect their environment and pass on their knowledge to future generations. Your support is essential for this mission.
